What Does the Lifetime Warranty Cover?
The Lifetime Warranty safeguards your Akito Scissors against any manufacturing defects.
- Free replacement of faulty parts
- Free inspections if you encounter any issues, helping your scissors maintain peak performance. (excluding shipping costs)
Is Damage Covered?
User-caused damage isn’t covered under the Lifetime Warranty, but we offer:
- Free damage inspections to assess and diagnose issues.
- Complimentary repair attempts when possible, without sharpening.
- Guidance and recommendations on the best options for any repairs needed.
What Voids the Lifetime Warranty?
Nothing voids warranty, we will always provide free replacement parts and free inspections to all Akito Scissors, even if they have been serviced by non-certified sharpeners.
Why sharpeners are important
Expert sharpeners have extensive experience working with Japanese blades, using advanced techniques and tools. Many other sharpeners lack this expertise, which can result in damage or shorten the scissors’ lifespan. For optimal care, only certified Akito sharpeners should service your scissors - if you need help finding certified Akito sharpeners simply email hello@akitoscissors.com.
